John Macnab has been drawing and painting since his childhood in England and has always felt an attraction to the natural world; it's constantly changing forms, the ephemeral nature of light and the way it touches and inspires us. As an artist he is especially influenced by the Early American Impressionists with their fluid, passionate brushwork and love of the great outdoors.

John's mission as an artist is to encourage us to slow down and consider the spiritual enrichment we receive from the natural world. John lives in Portland, Oregon and takes full advantage of it's proximity to the Pacific Coast and the Great American West.
